- Help repair damage including age spots and sun damage
In a clinical study, volunteers who applied SYN®-COLL twice daily for 84 days reported a 354% improvement* in the overall appearance of their wrinkles (when compared to the placebo)…
… While skin texture was improved by 201%!
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)
Used for centuries in Africa to protect skin from the elements, shea butter is a botanical ingredient and natural fat extracted from the oil-rich seed of the Butyrospermum Parkii, more commonly known as the shea tree.
With its rich content of bio-active triterpene esters such as lupeol and amyrin cinnamates, it is an excellent emollient – softening, smoothing, conditioning, and moisturizing the skin, while reducing dermal irritation and inflammation.
In fact, since its structure closely resembles the lipid content of skin, shea butter is considered a Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) – helping to keep the intercellular structure of the epidermis intact and actually stimulating collagen production.
Shea butter can be very effective in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and burns. And it even includes an unsaturated glycericidic component, which makes it useful as a UV screen.
This emollient gives your skin an instant boost by filling in the fine lines and wrinkles associated with aging, temporarily plumping the skin for a more youthful appearance. Makes your skin silky smooth to the touch.
Glycerin (Plant Derived)
Glycerin, one of the components of fats and oils, naturally occurs in the layering of your skin, playing a critical role in the structure. Kollagen Intensiv™ includes plant derived Glycerin, which acts as a humectant, attracting moisture to your skin, naturally softening and helping to prevent dryness.
Wrinkles occur and are exaggerated in appearance when the skin loses moisture and elasticity. Glycerin helps to rejuvenate the skin through increased water retention.
Tocopherol helps to prevent premature skin aging by discouraging DNA degeneration and cross linking of proteins while protecting the natural enzymes in the skin. An excellent antioxidant, it helps to remove free radicals, preventing oxidative damage from occurring.
Studies have also shown that Tocopherol helps protect the fibroblast in the skin – the cells that make collagen and the elastic fibers in the extracellular matrix of the skin.
Tocopherol encourages skin healing, reduces scarring, helps prevent the skin from environmental pollution, protects against UV radiation (though not a sunscreen), and helps prevent sun-induced wrinkling.
It’s an excellent moisturizer with anti-inflammatory properties.
Helps to suppress excess production of interleukins, which trigger the body’s acute inflammatory response and lead to glycation damage – including wrinkles, sagging, loss of youthful contours and uneven skin tone.
After the age of 35, interleukin secretion becomes less strictly controlled by hormones and the increased levels of interleukins increase levels of inflammatory proteins in the tissues, slow tissue regeneration, cause stiffening of tissues, and reduce overall healing.
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 has been shown to help reduce interleukin production, helping to prevent the associated signs of aging.
Retinol and Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate)
Retinol and retinyl palmitate, forms of Vitamin A, are antioxidants essential for good skin health, shown to neutralize free radicals while stimulating skin cell rejuvenation.
One of the few reparative substances able to pass beneath the upper layers of the epidermis, retinol increases collagen production to smooth skin texture, increases firmness, improves elasticity, diminishes the look of deep wrinkles, and increases skin thickness.
Reduces wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. Combats sun damage. Diminishes acne, blotchiness, and large pores.
The most effective way to enjoy the benefits of retinol is by applying it directly to the skin in cream form.
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C)
This water-soluble, non-irritating, stable derivative of Vitamin C is known for its collagen boosting properties. Gentler and effective in significantly lower concentrations than Vitamin C, it’s excellent for those with sensitive skin.
Benefits include skin lightening and brightening (reduces the appearance of age spots), UV protection by inhibiting production of melanin, and increased collagen production. It’s also a potent antioxidant.
Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Esculentus Extract & Acetyl Hexapeptide-3
Together Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 and Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Esculentus Extract reduce the release of catecholamine, which reduces the overall percentage of muscle contractions and therefore, the overall stress placed on the collagen and
elastin for a cumulative anti-aging effect. The size and depth of wrinkles are reduced.
Mimicking collagen, these cellular messengers stimulate skin rejuvenation by activating collagen and elastin production.
Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone
Helps reduce capillary permeability – reducing the occurrence of dark, under-eye circles by preventing the blood vessels in the skin below your eyes from leaking.
It also helps to reduce under-eye puffiness and swelling.
Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil
Promotes epidermal healing as a natural source of lecitihin, sterolins, and vitamin E. It’s easily absorbed into the skin and leaves your face feeling silky smooth.
Gluconolactone (Corn Derived Preservative)
This antioxidant polyhydroxy acid (PHA) hydrates the skin, resulting in increased moisturization. According to a study featured in Dermatologic Surgery journal, it may also protect the skin from some of the damaging effects of UV radiation.
Signs of photoaging may be reduced, including increased skin firmness, reduced sallowness, and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and roughness.
When combined with Palmitoyl Tetrapepetide-3 (included), Dipeptide-2 has been shown to reduce under-eye puffiness, bags, and bruising by improving lymphatic circulation.
Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline (DPHP) is a combination of an amino acid (hydroxyproline) and a lipid that firms skin by stimulating the contraction of collagen fibres.
It deeply penetrates the skin, protecting the dermal matrix, inhibiting free radical damage and moisturizing the skin.
Excellent for reducing signs of aging, including wrinkles and stretch marks.
Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract
Extract of the Cucumber Fruit, it contains natural acids that act as a skin toner and whitener while moisturizing, soothing, and tightening the skin.
Offers natural protection against the sun and includes anti-inflammatory properties.
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract
An extremely potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant – considered to be even more powerful than Vitamin E for neutralizing free radicals.
Plus, it’s thought to stop the collagen-reducing enzyme (collagenese) that breaks down collagen – helping to maintain your skin’s firmness and elasticity.
Stimulates circulation, toning, and improves overall skin health.
Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract
Known for its excellent anti-inflammatory properties, it soothes irritated skin while acting as a natural anti-oxidant. An excellent moisturizer for anti-aging
Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Palmitate)
Ascorbyl palmitate is a fat-soluble form of ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, which plays an important role in the manufacturing of collagen. It’s also an effective free radical-scavenging antioxidant which promotes healthy skin.
Hyaluronic Acid works hand-in-hand with collagen to maintain your skin’s layers and structure, nourishing and hydrating the collagen to keep it moist and elastic. Youthful looking skin is typically highly elastic because it contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid.
